Procedure for Application
Individuals who are not permanent residents nor citizens of the United States should apply as international students. An application under this status is also warranted if you have graduated from a secondary institution and completed pre-university educational programs in your home country.
Undergraduate admission application
International students may submit applications for undergraduate admission for the year 2025.
If you are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, or a U.S. citizen residing in Canada, submit your application for 2025 via the undergraduate admissions application.
Postgraduate students
Individuals seeking to obtain a graduate degree can visit the Graduate School website to submit their application.
Application fee
- Firstly, undergraduate guest students incur no fees.
- Secondly, students can remit the mandatory $25 nonrefundable application fee via credit card online or by mailing a check to Wayne State University, P.O. Box 02759, Detroit, MI 48202.
- Also, the WSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions allows application cost waivers for first-year and transfer students. The high school guidance counselor of the applicant must endorse the university fee waiver prior to the submission of the application to WSU. Transfer students are required to submit the NACAC Transfer Fee Waiver, accompanied by verification from a financial aid officer or staff member from their current or most recently attended institution.
- However, application fee waivers need permission from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need.
- Moreover, fee waivers are not applicable for postbaccalaureate or non-matriculating students.
