Ghanaian musician, Sherifa Gunu has named her collaboration some time ago with Sarkodie as the most special song.
According to Sherifa Gunu, rapper Sarkodie has lots of songs but the piece they collaborated together “Sherifa” is a very special one.
In an interview with Halifaxon Okay Fm, Sherifa narrated how he met Sarkodie and collaborated with him successfully.
She said she was rehearsing for a show La Palm Royal Beach when she received a call from the management of Sarkodie. They asked to see her wherever she is so she disclosed her location to them and they came around.
During their discussion, they played the song they had already made and was seeking to collaborate with Sherifa.
According to Sherifa, she heard her name in the song and was stunned and that makes her think that because of her good personality, Sarkodie made a song and dedicated it to her.
She continued to say that when the song was played for the second time, she began to sing along because she was much interested. They further talked about when they could record her part at the studio. She said that answered anytime…even if it was supposed to be that night but they all agreed to do to it the following day.
Sherifa mentioned that they picked her up the next day for her part the song to be recorded at the studio.
Not forgetting, the soul vocalist said that people who heard it before the song was released were all amazed and glad.
