Job Role
- Report directly to the Mechanical Supervisor – Processing Plant
- Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health & safety legislation, and AGAG regulation
- Adhere to the site’s Environmental Management Plan
- Work per planned works as directed by the Company
- Execute sandblasting work in shutdown maintenance, major maintenance, refurbishment, and maintenance work items as tasked – compliant and per all relevant regulations from the Government of Ghana and AGAG
- Assess all equipment/tools before and after work, and transport same necessary for task completion
- Carry out work per agreed cost-effectively and promptly.
- Stop equipment operation if there exists a high risk or unsafe to be used
- Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Secondary School Education or Mechanical Engineering Technician Part I Certificate or successful completion of respected mechanical trade apprenticeship (example: City and Guilds).
- Five (5) years of experience of post-apprenticeship work in a sandblasting trade
- Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation
- Fully literate and numerate
- Fully competent in sandblasting trade
- Knowledge in Shutdown Maintenance
- Compliance with the company values.

- Proven experience as a plant mechanical fitter and hands-on experience in working on work.
