POSITION: PODCAST & LIVE EVENT HOST
As a podcast host, you plan your show and research the topic under discussion, sketch out questions for guests, and work with advertisers to produce lead-in copy. As you are the “face” of the podcast, you engage with fans, the press, and the public through social media, podcast conventions, or live recording events.
Responsibilities
- Managing overall live event shows
- Plan and schedule programs and guests
- Research on topics that align with organizational goals
- Work with other stakeholders to gain valuable insights through open dialogue
- Publish these insights in blogs internally & externally
- Record, edit and contribute to the development of the podcast content (video and audio)
- Perform audio engineering tasks such as tuning, mixing, and leveling the audio
- Perform video and audio editing tasks such as using audio editing software (that you’re
proficient in) to clean up the audio interviews - Type up, implement feedback, and edit approved show notes
- Publish to various podcast platforms (Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, Apple Podcast App, etc.) while providing a clear description of the episode subjects
- Upload podcast to WordPress website
- Tailor, adapt, and edit content for podcast/video/social media
- Assist in the promotion of the podcast on all social media channels and through company email list
