POSITION: Impact and Marketing Officer (National Service Personnel)

• Contract Type: 1-Year National Service Position, with potential for future job offer.

Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-focused National Service Personnel to assist with our impact measurement and farmer engagement initiatives, thereby gaining insights into how our products and brand are perceived by our end-users. This beginner position is perfect for a recent graduate who is keen on agriculture, data gathering, rural progress, or marketing. The Impact Officer will support the Marketing Department in collecting, structuring, and evaluating data from farmers and stakeholders to enhance our understanding and communication of our impact.

Main Duties

• Help gather and arrange personal information from farmers, agricultural dealers, and other relevant parties.
• Manage Demeter’s impact database and assist Demeter’s tech team in confirming that the data is correctly uploaded and consistently updated in the organization’s business intelligence dashboards.
• Perform customer surveys and field interviews (either by phone or face-to-face) to collect insights on Demeter’s products and services.
• Assist in gathering Net Promoter Score (NPS) information and additional customer satisfaction measurements.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to assist with event organization, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Assist in carrying out impact surveys to evaluate alterations in farmers’ livelihoods, crop yields, and input utilization.
• Compile yield and agricultural information from demonstration locations, farm inspections, and internal documentation.
• Conduct data entry and fundamental analysis utilizing Excel or Google Sheets.
• Maintain data privacy and adhere to ethical principles in every data collection effort.
• Advise the Head of Marketing on improving our product and brand marketing using customer feedback, and suggest ways to enhance our monitoring and boost our social and environmental impact.

Required Skills or Experience

• Recent graduate (Bachelor’s degree or HND) in Agriculture, Social Science, Marketing, Development Studies, Statistics, or a relevant discipline.
• Keen focus on precision and enthusiasm for data collection and field research.
• Proficient in Excel, Google Forms, or other data tools (training will be offered).
• Readiness to travel from time to time to agricultural communities and field locations.
• Eagerness to conduct as many as 100 cold calls to farmers weekly, demonstrating the drive to continue calling even when farmers are not always receptive to the outreach.
• Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in English is necessary. Proficiency in Twi and other indigenous languages is a significant benefit.
• Acquire practical skills in impact assessment and monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
• Understand how data shapes product creation, marketing strategies, and farmer interactions.
• Collaborate with seasoned experts in agriculture and marketing.
