Role Overview

As Account Management Director, you will oversee Mastercard’s complete product portfolio, including credit, debit, prepaid, and commercial card programs for West African markets. You will develop strategic account plans, negotiate partnership agreements, and drive revenue growth through innovative payment solutions. This position requires both strategic vision and practical execution capabilities in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build long-term strategic partnerships with key financial institutions
Negotiate and execute comprehensive customer agreements
Develop annual strategic account plans with regular progress reviews
Serve as a trusted strategic advisor for assigned customer accounts
Deliver against sales targets for Mastercard products and services
Identify and develop incremental revenue streams across value-added services
Analyze customer business through profitability modeling and competitive analysis
Create customized solutions that drive mutual profit and revenue growth
Lead product development initiatives for West African markets
Implement new product features and benefits in collaboration with regional teams
Develop comprehensive customer marketing pipelines to drive portfolio performance
Coordinate cross-functional resources to optimize product implementation
Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
Conduct financial forecasting and competitive market analysis
Design specific strategies tailored to customer’s business objectives
Monitor market trends and payment industry developments
Implement business development plans with advertising and marketing activities

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

University degree with advanced qualification preferred
Extensive experience in the electronic payments/cards industry
Background in business development or product management
Knowledge of issuing/acquiring business operations
Experience in the banking or payments domain
