POSITION: Area Sales Professional SI EP (Ghana)

Role Summary

Guarantees the execution of the sales strategy, directives, and objectives in marketing designated products, services, or projects to clients in the Industrial and Infrastructure sectors, who utilize Siemens products either directly or indirectly in their investments, to boost sales and meet established commercial goals by steering the advancement and execution of the SI EP strategy in Industry and Infrastructure.

Duties of the Position

  • The main area of responsibility will be Ghana and other targeted West African nations as specified by management.
  • The candidate will oversee all Business Development efforts for Low Voltage Switchgear products and portfolio in this area, along with additional tasks as assigned occasionally.
  • The candidate must engage in long-term strategic planning, conduct analyses, prepare summaries, and/or carry out operational tasks that facilitate the exploitation of opportunities in the Industrial and Infrastructure sectors.
  • The candidate will be accountable for promoting Siemens’ visibility among Resellers, End users, Consultants, Architects, EPCs, and Contractors within Industry and Infrastructure.
  • The candidate will be tasked with generating awareness among the specified customer groups and promoting the inclusion of Siemens Low Voltage Switchgear in specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to fully assist Partner Management in creating a SINOVA Partner / Distributor network, catering to the infrastructure sectors within their assigned area, as well as other regions as instructed.
  • The candidate must create and manage bid opportunities by leveraging their expertise to help build a robust sales pipeline, while also striving to achieve sales goals, drawing on their understanding of the industry and clientele.
  • The candidate must coordinate project activities for designated projects and provide information to help develop new strategies by ensuring an efficient transition from acquisition and sales to project execution.
  • The candidate must conduct market and business research, along with competitor analysis regarding the SINOVA Product Portfolio.
  • The candidate should concentrate on the complete LC-ZA package that includes African nations, excluding South Africa.
  • Significant travel to the regions mentioned above is needed.
  • The candidate must create a framework for Sales, Support, and Services in collaboration with the IAA (India, ASEAN, and Africa) Regional Management.
  • The candidate will be accountable for executing the framework across the African continent.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, coupled with a business qualification/degree, is considered a plus.
  • A strong grasp of the Infrastructure sector, key participants, distribution channels, and product range, among other aspects.
  • Capability to guide a remote project team to a successful execution across different nations.
  • Outstanding intercultural abilities to collaborate with country and partner Managers from different nations.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a business/sales/channel development position.
  • Previous experience collaborating directly with a channel sales organization/business is essential.

  • Outstanding skills in presentation and communication.
  • Demonstrated negotiation ability.
  • Collaborative individual, skilled at managing various workflows with shared resources and objectives in an evolving, expanding organization where cultural transformation and matrix structures are standard. The applicant must be accommodating and able to adjust to evolving needs.
  • Experience in managing projects/programs is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of business and finance.
  • Market evaluation/Marketing proficiency
