POSITION: Commercial Finance Analyst

JOB OBJECTIVE
Unilever is a place where you can realize your purpose through your work – building a better business and a better world. The Commercial Finance Manager collaborates closely with the commercial teams (CD & Marketing) to deliver financial insights in
crucial choices in business decisions while developing practical plans to reach financial objectives with ongoing performance evaluation and efficient resource distribution. The position also collaborates with the nation’s leadership team.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- GFCF regulations
- The Lending Policy
- The TTS guideline
- Oversee credit management
- TTS provisions
- TTS Payments evaluation
- Review and reconcile aged TTS payments against accruals.
- Management of aged debtors and overdue accounts
- Assist NACREMS to guarantee effective management of overdue items
b) In the capacity of a business ally to Marketing
Yearly BMI Budget allocation: Allocate BMI budgets to every category/brand according to budgets provided by FET; however, daily budget oversight (PO creation, IO creation, actuals versus FC analysis) is the responsibility of the marketing teams. This activity occurs every year.
Quarterly activity planning: Will assist in the promotion/activity planning that serves as the foundation for the upcoming quarter’s forecast and will aid in thoroughly assessing options to achieve the business strategic goals.
- Pricing: Offer insights to inform pricing decisions for the CD/Marketing sector.
- NRM: Act as the Finance collaborator for NRM.
c) Function in S&OP and Connection with FET & Head of Finance EWA
- Examine S&OP forecasts before submitting to Topline, TTS, and BMI submissions
- Examine the forecast for opening, closing, and changes in debtors from a cash viewpoint.
- Keep an official record of Risks and Opportunities for Topline and BMI that needs to be presented to the commercial finance manager for further discussion with FET and HoF EWA.
d) Function during Month-End:
- Making certain that all activities related to control affecting CD and Marketing are finished, including essential accruals.
- Finalizing the Actuals versus FC analysis by collaborating with SC Finance & FET and securing sign-off on WD4.
Qualification Required
- Professional qualifications in accountancy, such as ACCA or CIMA (or another finance-related qualification), are preferred, or candidates should be close to completing their professional qualification
- At least 1–3 years of experience in Category Finance or CD Finance.
Experience in SAP (2 years).
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Skill in guiding discussions and impacting opinion
- Demonstrated history of success in a challenging operational setting and enhancing business performance
- Effective communication and persuasion abilities
- Impartiality and honesty when confronted with difficulties; bravery and inner strength
- Capability to create networks and handle several high-level stakeholders.
- Comprehension or skill to swiftly understand financial concepts throughout the complete commercial processes, recognize and promote significant value-generating options and choices.
- Change leadership, the capacity to lead change management efforts, remaining aligned with best practices and pertinent external trends.
