POSITION: Manager, Impact Framework and Landscapes & Communities Projects
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Impact Framework (IF) – Landscapes & Communities (L&C) will serve as a specialist in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) as well as in project design, management, and reporting. They will work closely with the Impact Director to lead the organization-wide execution of the Rainforest Alliance’s Impact Framework. They will work closely with the Senior Advisor L&C M&E and local teams to ensure L&C project managers, M&E staff, and partners in Africa and Asia Pacific align with RA’s impact framework and consistently use the Project Management Platform (PMP) for evidence-based monitoring.
Furthermore, they will act as RA’s regional Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) lead, ideally with expertise in data quality assessment and analysis. Supporting teams in Africa and Asia Pacific, they will provide demand-driven guidance on L&C project design and implementation, ensuring alignment with RA’s Impact Framework. Additionally, they will play a key role in centralizing, validating, and analyzing project data to produce impact insights and dashboards across RA’s portfolio.
DUTIES:
- Facilitate the implementation of the Rainforest Alliance’s Impact Framework, particularly in Africa and Asia, concentrating on coordinating RA’s L&C project portfolio with the Impact Framework.
- Guarantee that project M&E is uniform, integrating Impact Framework metrics.
- Confirm that the storage and reporting of project data are consistent, that project data are accessible and can be compiled to summarize the overall impact of the project portfolio.
- Act as the main contact for Africa and Asia Pacific regarding capacity building, coaching, and mentoring of project staff and partners on L&C M&E frameworks, processes, and tools.
- Share (frequently intricate) L&C M&E frameworks, processes, and tools with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively assist the organization in fulfilling its 2030 Strategy, particularly by collaborating with other M&E team members to guarantee our efforts are designed to generate impact across six impact pathways that form the organization’s Impact Framework;
- Collaborate closely with the Thriving Landscapes M&E team to maintain consistency and coordination across the organization’s programs and landscape strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in agriculture, forestry, or another related discipline.
- A minimum of 7+ years of advancing, pertinent experience in creating and executing monitoring and evaluation systems, predominantly in tropical agriculture and/or forestry.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience at a management level in M&E data collection methods enhancing producer and market value;
- Proven expertise (5 years) in M&E data quality assurance and assessment.
- Proven ability to convey effects in an engaging visual format that highlights the essential information needed;
- Remarkable dedication, enthusiasm, and an optimistic attitude;
- Understanding of sustainable development challenges and dedication to the Rainforest Alliance’s objectives of enhancing livelihoods and protecting human rights; conserving forests and valuable ecosystems; rejuvenating production systems and rural areas; as well as addressing climate change and fostering climate resilience;
- Strong grasp of landscape programs and frameworks (such as 1000 Landscapes and LandScale) is desirable;
- Preferably, direct experience collaborating with agricultural producers (small, medium, and large) and/or forest communities;
- Having experience with GIS software and data collection tools is an advantage;
- Excellent English writing skills.
