Job Description
A growing manufacturing company seeks an experienced HR & Administration Manager to build and oversee comprehensive people management systems. This strategic role combines human resources leadership with operational administration, offering the opportunity to shape workplace culture and drive organizational efficiency in a hands-on, impact-focused environment.
Role Overview
As HR & Administration Manager, you will develop and implement structured HR processes while managing daily administrative operations. You will serve as the cornerstone for employee relations, talent management, and facility operations, ensuring alignment between people strategies and manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
HR Systems & Talent Management
- Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and an updated Employee Handbook
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across all organizational levels
- Develop workforce planning and retention strategies to reduce turnover
- Establish performance management systems linked to operational KPIs
Employee Development & Relations
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs
- Implement staff engagement initiatives to boost morale and retention
- Resolve employee grievances in accordance with company policies
- Support line managers in coaching and performance improvement
Compliance & Records Management
- Maintain accurate employee records in both digital and physical formats
- Ensure strict compliance with Ghana Labour Act and relevant regulations
- Track and report on key metrics including absenteeism and turnover
- Manage disciplinary procedures and documentation
Administrative Operations
- Oversee daily office and manufacturing facility administration
- Supervise support staff including drivers, cleaners, and security personnel
- Manage vendor relationships for utilities, supplies, and service contracts
- Coordinate company events, meetings, and training sessions
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ghana labour laws and statutory requirements
- Proven experience developing HR systems and processes from inception
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital HR platforms
