Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Kofi Botchwey who goes by the stage name, Kwaw Kese has labeled 2014 as the worst year of his life.
Explicating the motivation behind his new song dubbed “Victory”, he noted that the song was made out of the many struggles he has been through in life. He said that “Victory” is more of a motivational song than a gospel track. Furthermore, he said that he has grown to be more responsible therefore; most of the song he would be releasing would touch hearts and inspire people to express love. According to him, 2014 is the worst year of his life because he went through difficult times.
The Swedru based artiste disclosed that his manager was murdered in cold blood, got divorced and was jailed in the same year and this caused him to suffer from depression for four months in the states. He stated that the circumstance in which he found himself nearly pushed him to quit music and look for greener pastures elsewhere.
In an up-close interview yesterday with MzGee, Kwaw Kese explained that as he was going through all these problems, he had no one to turn to except God. He added that he heard the voice of God, telling him that he was stronger than who he thinks he was and that people looked up to him. The voice instructed him to return to Ghana and he did. He says it was better coming back to Ghana.
