Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Attend to students and staff by selling food items, stationery, and other school essentials
Handle cash payments and POS transactions accurately while maintaining daily sales records
Arrange products neatly on shelves to create an appealing display
Monitor stock levels consistently and inform management when items run low
Keep the shop environment clean, organized, and hygienic at all times
Deliver friendly, respectful, and patient customer service, especially when dealing with children
Check pricing to ensure all items display correct and clear labels
Assist with basic reporting and record keeping as required by management

Beyond these duties, you will play an important role in shaping the experience students have when they visit the shop. Therefore, a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility will set you apart.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Hold at least a Senior High School certificate
Demonstrate basic numeracy skills and the ability to keep accurate records
Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with customers
Show reliability, honesty, and strong personal integrity
Work efficiently in a busy and fast-moving school setting
Display patience and understanding when interacting with children

Moreover, prior experience in retail or shop management will give you an added advantage, although it is not mandatory. A willingness to learn and adapt quickly will also help you succeed in this role.
