Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Internal Audit Manager to strengthen our Group Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Group Chief Internal Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across the holding company. You will lead audit engagements, mentor a team, and contribute directly to the organization’s operational resilience and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

You will be a key deputy in the audit leadership team with broad operational and supervisory duties:

First, you will assist in developing the Group’s Internal Audit Strategic Plan and annual risk-based audit plan for committee approval.
You will oversee the entire audit cycle—planning, fieldwork, and reporting—ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
A central responsibility involves evaluating the adequacy of policies and procedures related to risk, governance, and compliance, providing practical recommendations for improvement.
Furthermore, you will partner with management to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identifying opportunities to streamline redundant processes.
You will execute and supervise financial, operational, and IT audits, including post-implementation reviews.
Additionally, you will review audit work papers for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to professional standards.
You will supervise, mentor, and train the internal audit staff, fostering their professional development and technical skills.
You will also contribute to budget development for the audit function and manage resources efficiently.
Finally, you will discuss audit findings, recommendations, and management action plans with the Group Chief Internal Auditor.

Required Skills & Attributes

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a sharp analytical mind:

Deep knowledge of internal auditing practices, standards (IIA), and leading guidance.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
Excellent supervisory, planning, and coaching skills with a collaborative team approach.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of a first degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.

A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIA, ICA, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
At least five years of related internal audit experience, with a significant portion at a managerial level.
