POSITION: Blow Mould Machine Operator
Job Overview
The Blow mould operator is in charge of operating and maintaining blow moulding machinery. This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating the machinery used to create plastic drums, monitoring and adjusting machine settings and troubleshooting any issues that may develop.
The Blow Mold Operator must also guarantee that the drums and parts produced meet the company’s quality standards. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of the blow moulding process and the ability to work with a wide range of plastics.
Duties
- Must have a thorough understanding of how the machine operates.
- The Operator will be in charge of operating and maintaining the Drum Moulding Machine and other related equipment.
- Capable of reading blueprints and following the supervisor’s instructions to ensure the manufacturing of the correct product while maintaining all quality requirements.
- Inspecting equipment for problems during the manufacturing process and making adjustments to address any issues.
- Operating the machine that fills MOULDs with molten plastic, which is subsequently cooled to form the completed product.
- Monitoring product quality by comparing dimensions and form to specifications.
- Removing finished product from MOULDs and removing any surplus material off the edges.
- Inspecting products for surface texture faults.
- Cleaning MOULDs with brushes or scrapers before they are used in production.
- Eliminating defective items from the manufacturing process and discarding materials that cannot be recycled.
- Transporting finished products to packing stations where they are wrapped or branded.
- Following safety protocols to safeguard themselves, their coworkers, and the environment from hazards.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND mechanical engineering.
- Three or more years of exposure and experience operating moulding machines.
- Understanding of plastic materials and safety standards.
- Thorough knowledge of injection moulding machines and accessories.
- Computer literate, particularly with MS Word and Excel.
Location: Accra.
