POSITION: Legal Officer
Company Overview
Ghana Publishing Company (previously known as Ghana Publishing Corporation) was established on March 9, 1965, under Legislative Instrument No. 413, and later modified by L.I. 672 on December 11, 1970, to assume the responsibilities of the former Government Printing Department and the management of the Government Free Textbook Schemes.
The Assembly Press was transformed into a Limited Liability Company under the Statutory Corporations (Conversion to Companies) Act 461 of 1993 and was renamed Ghana Publishing Company Limited in 2007.
Our main purpose is to print and publish top-quality books and stationery for Educational Institutions, Government Departments, and the General Public at affordable prices
Job Summary
A respected publishing and printing firm seeks applications from qualified individuals for the role of Legal Officer.
Position Overview
To offer legal operational assistance to enable the provision of legal services and guarantee adherence to relevant laws and internal regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Gather information to aid in the development of policies and strategies.
- Support the oversight and assessment of legal initiatives and actions.
- Carry out legal tactics and internal procedures
- Act on behalf of the company in legal and administrative settings.
- Offer advice on understanding laws, policies, and regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to guarantee adherence to legal regulations
- Communicate with outside legal representatives and appropriate governmental agencies
- Supervise the preparation and review of legal documents
- Aid in the formulation of departmental budgets, work plans, and reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, social sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Must have been admitted to the Ghana Bar
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience after your bar calling.
