ROLE: Trade and Procurement Supervisor

Position Description

AGROPAL, as a developing company, is looking for new talent to help it achieve its purpose of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain. As a result, AGROPAL is looking for a qualified applicant to fill the position of Trade and Procurement Supervisor. Applicants should keep in mind that the opportunity necessitates flexibility based on factory production schedules.

Responsibilities and Duties

The hired candidate will be in charge of the following:

• Plan and manage logistics operations in collaboration with the internal team and service vendors.
• Liaise with the appropriate leads to obtain services and goods related to the company’s activities.
• Create and maintain a vendor list for all clients and service providers, as well as keep management and end-users informed of any modifications and changes.
• Assures that all procurement procedures are followed and carried out professionally.
• Standard purchasing forms, such as bid requests, material requisitions, purchase orders, modification orders, logs, reports, and trends, are prepared.
• To find acceptable commercial possibilities, monitor all existing and prospective markets in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
• Assist the client(s) in question by ensuring that all completed orders are delivered on time.
• Ensure that products are shipped properly to maintain product quality during transportation.
• Take responsibility for labeling accuracy to ensure that the correct finished goods reach the correct clients on schedule.
• To achieve 0% shortages, plan, manage, and monitor all logistics inputs.
• Ensure that export restrictions, customs regulations, and legal requirements for shipping goods are followed.
• Manage and resolve difficulties with logistics systems, transportation, exports, and customs.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of all documentation.
• Maintain inventory integrity (finished goods and logistics inputs) and monitor export sales within the company’s record systems.
• To improve operational and financial performance, develop and execute best practices in logistics principles, policies, and processes.
• Manage, coach, and create a high-risk performance team that fulfills agreed-upon goals while delivering best-practice results, additional value, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop, implement, and evaluate departmental objectives and KPIs.

Required Qualifications or Experience

Academic and professional goals:

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a similar field(s) is required.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the commerce and exporting business is required.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the food export sector. *** The candidate should be familiar with import and export regulations, laws, and processes.*** The candidate must have a strong service provider network or an industry network relevant to imports and exports.
• The candidate must have verifiable expertise and training in international quality standards, specifically HACCP, BRCGS, and IFS for the food business (candidates without this experience would be automatically disqualified). *** The candidate must have an entrepreneurial attitude and expertise in developing long-term businesses.

• Ability to handle several projects at once, determine priorities, detect and solve problems, fulfill deadlines, and remain within budget.
• A strategic leader with the capacity to manage and motivate huge groups

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as well as the ability to effectively offer instruction and incentives at all levels.
• Ability to address problems pragmatically and plan a course of action using analytical, conceptual, strategic, and forward-thinking skills to obtain effective results.
• Ability to identify, react, and adjust to rapidly changing conditions, as well as to lead resources on the right path with cohesion and urgency
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Candidate must show ethics and responsibility.
• Strong adaptability and the ability to operate with little or no supervision are essential.
• Microsoft application proficiency.
