POSITION: Private Sector Program Coordinator
Oxfam in Ghana is seeking a Private Sector Program Coordinator to provide strategic leadership for our private sector work, policy influencing efforts, and engagement with government, civil society, and private sector actors. If you have strong networking, influencing, and presentation skills, this role offers the opportunity to design and lead private sector engagement strategies across just economy, gender justice, and accountable governance agendas.

Your Mission: Strategize, Influence, and Partner
Reporting to the Just Economy Program and Policy Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and advice for our programs and policy influencing team. Your role includes providing policy analysis, research, and strategic advice, designing and leading implementation of private sector engagement and influencing strategies, facilitating strategic accompaniment to partners, developing and managing relations with partner organizations, state agencies, and private sector, and representing Oxfam in various fora.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Analysis & Strategy: You will provide policy analysis, research, and strategic advice in support of program policy, designing and leading implementation of private sector engagement and influencing strategies across just economy, gender justice, and accountable governance agendas.
- Partner Accompaniment: You will facilitate direct strategic accompaniment to partners and collaborators to meet the strategic ambitions of the private sector work in Ghana.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You will develop and manage relations with partner organizations, media, state agencies, local authorities, and private sector, ensuring proper implementation of activities and delivery of private sector results.
- Advocacy & Influencing: You will engage in dedicated and targeted engagement with private sector, government, civil society coalitions, and influential persons in various fora, contributing to Oxfam’s regional, continental, and global private sector campaign objectives.
What We Are Looking For
Education & Experience
- A Master’s degree in development studies, international development, gender and development, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in international development, with a strong track record in project management, advocacy, and policy influencing.
Key Requirements
- Expertise in private sector engagement, women’s rights, gender and human rights, and economic justice.
- Proven ability to lead campaigns, research, and analysis for advocacy and influencing work.
- Strong organizational development and project management skills, with experience meeting deadlines and managing teams.
- Excellent networking, influencing, and presentation skills to engage effectively with government, private sector, and other decision-makers.
- Demonstrated leadership as a team player and manager, able to build and drive strategic initiatives across diverse teams.
