POSITION: Legal Manager
Job Description
The Legal Manager must provide legal advice to all company departments and ensure compliance with internal rules regarding business decisions, processes, and documentation. This role also involves training employees and communicating any legal changes that may affect their work areas. The person in this position will manage outsourced legal partners.
Responsibilities
- Offer expert corporate and commercial legal advice for the company’s operations
- Ensure that business decisions, processes, and documentation comply with legal standards.
- Conduct due diligence and review various real estate documents, such as ground leases and title deeds, with great attention to detail.
- Draft, review, and track all contracts, agreements, settlements, and other legal documents as needed by the business.
- Collaborate with members of the legal department and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely task completion.
- Prepare correspondence to and from regulatory authorities and attend meetings with regulators when necessary.
- Provide training on American Tower Policies, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, OFAC, and FCPA.
- Review and provide advice on HR issues.
- Work with external counsel to manage the litigation process.
- Collaborate closely with legal and regulatory outsourced partners to ensure they deliver the required services.
Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years at the Ghana Bar, (UK/US Bar Qualification if applicable)
- International exposure is a plus
- Litigation experience is a plus
- Employment openings in real estate in Ghana
