Job Title: Light Duty & Heavy Duty Mechanics

Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is not just another garage. We are a leader in the assembling, sales, and servicing of commercial vehicles across Ghana. We take vehicles from parts to performance. Consequently, we need talented and experienced Light Duty and Heavy Duty Auto Mechanics to join our servicing and assembling departments.

This is a unique opportunity. You will not just repair broken down vehicles. You will also play a key role in assembling brand new trucks and machines, ensuring they meet our exacting standards before they hit the road. If you have the diagnostic skills to find a problem and the hands on expertise to fix it right, we want you on our team.

Your Mission: Build, Diagnose, and Repair with Precision

As a mechanic at Zonda Tec, you will work on a wide range of automobiles. You will use your experience to troubleshoot mechanical faults accurately and efficiently. You will work under pressure, often with little supervision, and you will take pride in a job well done. Your attention to detail will ensure every vehicle leaving our workshop is safe, reliable, and ready for service.

Core Responsibilities

Assembly & Build Quality

Assemble Brand New Vehicles: You will work on the assembly line for both light duty and heavy duty vehicles and machines. You will bring new trucks to life, piece by piece.
Conduct Final Quality Checks: You will inspect newly assembled vehicles thoroughly. You will verify that everything is properly fitted and functioning before we deliver them to customers.
Ensure Readiness for Sale: You will confirm that every vehicle leaving the assembly department meets our rigorous standards for performance and safety.

Diagnosis & Repair

Inspect Engines Thoroughly: You will examine Light Duty and Heavy Duty vehicle engines to diagnose mechanical issues accurately. You will get to the root cause of every problem.
Repair or Replace Broken Parts: You will fix broken or dysfunctional parts efficiently. You will ensure repairs are durable and reliable.
Repair Broken Down Vehicles: You will respond to vehicle breakdowns, diagnosing and fixing issues to get trucks back on the road quickly.
Use Diagnostic Equipment Skillfully: You will employ various hand tools and modern diagnostic equipment to assess and resolve automobile issues.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for hands on professionals who combine technical training with real world experience. You may have experience in a formal garage, but roadside experience has also taught you how to think on your feet.

To excel in these roles, you will need:

Qualifications & Experience

A minimum of WASSCE, NABTEX, or HND in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
Between 2 to 4 years of working experience in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and machines.
Specific experience in the servicing of Heavy Duty vehicles and machines is essential for the Heavy Duty role.
Roadside Auto Mechanic Experience is highly valued. We appreciate mechanics who have learned to solve problems in real world conditions.

Technical & Personal Skills

Proven diagnostic ability to identify mechanical faults accurately and quickly.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing servicing and repairs.
The ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision. You are self motivated and reliable.
Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
A strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and orderliness in the workshop. You take pride in your workspace.
