POSITION: Technical Manager

General Purpose of the Role:

The main aim of the job holder is to take on the role of aiding and supporting the CTO to advance the Company’s Strategy regarding Service Offerings for Clients. This will include:

  • Create and Bundle of cutting-edge technological offering from our Consortium of Partner OEMs (Original Equipment Producers), to present to both new and current customers. The duty will necessitate a degree of engagement and cooperation with additional stakeholder groups such as the Sales Team and Finance Team.
  • The employee collaborates closely with the Service Delivery Controller to guarantee efficient delivery, oversight, and administration of the organization’s technical initiatives and Service Level Agreements with customers and subcontractors.
  • The ToM must show significant initiative to guide a group of IT professionals. To excel in the position, the employee must possess extensive experience in managing a group of engineers and should also possess experience in OEM certification and partnerships (minimum of five years). OEM certifications are essential for business operations and service provision.

REQUIREMENT / QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least six (6) years of experience in the IT sector, with a minimum of 3 years in leadership and management positions.
  • At least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a valid certification in either Networking or Enterprise Systems (e.g., CCNA), Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), and ITIL certification will be beneficial.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, a probing and analytical mindset, with the capacity to anticipate potential issues.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, expertise in team building, and the capacity to designate resources effectively while conducting performance assessment procedures.
  • A highly effective strategy with a focus on timely delivery to achieve established deadlines.
  • Driven, collaborative, focused on action and outcomes, experienced in collaborating with external service providers.
  • Grasping market trends and possessing a strategic approach to expand the business and address challenges.
  • Solid grasp of: server and desktop components, operating systems, networking technologies, firewalls and load balancing, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (Design, Security, and Administration), server virtualization, familiarity with messaging and collaboration platforms (MS Exchange, SharePoint, Archiving, Cisco Unified Communication, ITIL).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Management of Strategy

  • The primary responsibility is to guarantee that the strategy of the department is implemented and overseen following established guidelines and protocols while upholding the organization’s fundamental principles. The individual in this position must show a solid comprehension of operating within a structured setting while also possessing a constructive approach to discipline.

Team Leadership

  • Even though decision-making relies heavily on company systems and procedures, it demands positive experience; along with technical skills, problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and efficient communication abilities to find the proper equilibrium between client service and the organization’s financial goals and objectives. Therefore, the ToM should demonstrate leadership by encouraging others to correct behavioural biases and the method of delivery.

Operational Abilities

  • A “right first time” strategy should be implemented across all areas of responsibility. This will necessitate suitable organization and efficient interaction with different staff members in Fairgreen, along with the client equivalent staff.
