Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and skilled Science & Maths Teacher to become part of our team.
The ideal applicant will motivate young students in Primary School Science and Mathematics. He/she reports directly to the Director of School Operations and ultimately to the CEO.
We suggest that the applicant live in Dome, Kwabenya, Haatso, Achimota, or nearby areas.
Duties & Functions
- As a teacher of Science and Maths, you will be required to:
- Provide instruction according to the Basic School Science and Maths Curriculum from the Ghana Education Service (GES)
- Instruct on real-world Science and Mathematics principles.
- Enable experiential Science through creative, practical materials.
- Develop captivating lesson plans and educational activities customized for the age and skill level of students.
- Oversee and sustain resources and kits for the Science lab.
- Evaluate, track, and communicate on students’ development.
- Arrange clubs for programming or Science and Maths, as well as competitions or exhibitions.
- Work together with fellow educators and engage in school functions and training sessions.
- Act as a classroom instructor
Required Skills or Experience
Individuals applying for this role must:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a Diploma in Education with a focus on Science and Mathematics.
- Possess a minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in Science and Maths (experience at the basic school level is preferable).

- Effective communication and classroom control abilities.
- A love for instructing and nurturing young minds in hands-on science activities.
- The capability to clarify intricate scientific ideas for primary school students.
- Imaginative, ingenious, and passionate about practical learning.
- Openness to participate in training or workshops on emerging technologies.
