Subject Areas Open for Appointment
We need lecturers in the following disciplines:
- Early Childhood Education
- Art (Graphics and Textiles background)
- English Language (preferably Literature)
- Religious and Moral Education
- Information Communication Technology (ICT)
- Geography
What You Must Bring
Minimum Qualifications
You must possess all three of these:
- A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the relevant area
- A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) (Research Master’s degree)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area
Experience Requirement
You must have served as a Lecturer in a College of Education or a recognized tertiary institution for at least two years.
Added Advantage
Evidence of publications in credible journals strengthens your application considerably.
Your Core Duties and Responsibilities
Once appointed, you will take on these academic and administrative roles:
- Teach courses in your subject area at the college level.
- Set and mark assignments plus examination questions fairly and accurately.
- Invigilate examinations to maintain academic integrity.
- Supervise student project works from proposal to final submission.
- Conduct research and publish findings to advance your field.
- Assist in departmental administration as needed by your head of department.
- Supervise student internships during Teaching Practice sessions.
- Extend service to the College and the nation through committees and community engagement.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Principal or their representative.
