IRC Ghana Calls For Job Applications
IRC Ghana seeks a motivated and outcome-focused individual to take on the role of Operations Manager.
Objective of the Position
To offer top-tier, confidential, and strategic administrative assistance to the country director (CD), guaranteeing the seamless and effective functioning of the Ghana Country office regarding areas such as human resource management, procurement, transportation, and protocol services.
Requirements for Qualifications and Experience
- MBA or similar qualification in a job-related field
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, international relations, public health, environmental studies, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable executive or senior administrative support position
- Proven experience in a non-profit, humanitarian, or development organization, with direct participation or a solid grasp of WASH programs, would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in a Ghanaian or African setting, with insight into the socio-political and cultural dynamics of the industry.
Skills and Experience
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling various priorities, adhering to deadlines, and performing under pressure in a dynamic setting.
- Communication, strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to compose professional letters and reports in English.
- Interpersonal abilities: A strong level of tact, judgment, and privacy, capacity to engage professionally with a varied array of internal and external parties.
- Technical skills: High-level computer abilities, encompassing expertise in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and an eagerness to acquire new software and tools.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, showing initiative and problem-solving skills, along with the capacity to foresee needs and address challenges autonomously.
- Understanding the WASH sector, possessing solid sector knowledge. SDGs, encompassing major issues in Africa (such as climate change, water shortages, and sanitation availability), program strategies, and assessment and evaluation methods.
- Values: A deep dedication to the IRC’s mission and principles, with an awareness of gender equality and cultural sensitivity in program implementation.
Duration of Agreement
The individual will first receive a one-year agreement with a probation period of six months included. The agreement can be renewed based on satisfactory performance and availability of finances.
