International Dental Clinic Invites Job Applications
We have full-time Dental Nurse positions open at our fantastic practice located in Accra, East Legon.
Responsibilities
A Dental Nurse assists Dentists with all aspects of patient dental care. Their main tasks involve educating patients about dental hygiene, providing treatments to prevent oral issues, and giving dietary advice for maintaining oral health. The responsibilities of a Dental Nurse include both health promotion and clinical duties. Their key responsibilities are:
- Educating patients on oral health
- Using various dental tools to scale, polish, and clean teeth
- Removing plaque and applying treatments to prevent or lessen decay
- Ensuring dental tools and instruments are properly sterilized
- Taking radiographs and impressions of teeth, and administering local anaesthetic under the Dentist’s supervision
- Applying temporary sealants and coatings to protect teeth
- Collecting dental and medical histories and keeping patient health records
- Adhering to a professional code of ethics and staying updated with industry developments.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Must possess the necessary qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong motivation and listening abilities
- A desire to help others
- Steady hands and good eyesight for precise dental tasks
- Confidence in using various dental equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion and empathy when dealing with patients
- Capability to maintain focus for extended periods.
