Human Resources and Administrative Officer at Absa
Summary of Job:
To provide operational and administrative support services by completing pre-set goals according to agreed-upon standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Customer service is 50% of the job.
- Authorize and handle all requests from project staff in the areas of sales support, hiring and selection, and training, as long as they are within the standards and authority limits that have been agreed upon with the line manager.
- Respond to routine correspondence from internal and external customers about project management support and HR.
- Greet and direct visitors, answer phone calls and deal with complaints in a friendly and professional way.
- Keep a database of applicants and communicate with them, including sending feedback letters on time.
- Deal with questions and complaints from staff about certain parts of Project
- Administrative and HR services and respond to them.
- Assisting with the onboarding of new employees (on-boarding/day 1 HR induction), making sure new employees get the right paperwork, opening a bank account, etc.
Help with administration: 45%
- Responsible for running the Absa Young Africa Works office as a whole. This includes making administrative reports, such as minutes and letters, and managing the meeting room, confirmations, and exit responses.
- Then, Maintaining office supplies, including checking inventory and working with vendors to make sure there are always enough of what’s needed.
- Will make sure that project letters and paperwork for hiring are sent out and kept in the right places.
- Also, Keep records of files and filing systems up to date, including keeping physical and electronic registers and filing systems up to date. Make sure that all requests and selection processes are written down, filed, and kept track of.
- Planning events like conferences, meetings, and parties at the office or elsewhere.
- Make sure that all relevant HR and administrative Information systems and how information is managed
- Coordinate with and talk to the head of the SME. Help with meeting planning, communication, and taking minutes.
- The person in charge of coordinating schedules, setting up meetings, sending out memos and reports, and keeping project staff up to date on news and information.
- Write up routine letters and access cards for office facilities.
- Overseeing the work of all employees and making sure the project office is always clean and in order.
- Other extra tasks related to administration, finances, and communication, as needed

Business, Commerce, and Management Studies: Higher Certificates and Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates (Required)
