Ho Technical University Invites Job Applications
Ho Technical University requests applications from suitable individuals for the role of REGISTRAR of the University, set to be available on 1st April, 2026.
THE COLLEGE
Ho Technical University in Ghana’s Volta Region became a Technical University in September 2016 under Act 922. It delivers higher education in engineering, science, technology, vocational training, and applied arts. The University focuses on practical education, research, and innovation to develop skilled professionals and promote sustainable global progress in collaboration with stakeholders.
THE ROLE
- The Registrar serves as the University’s Chief Administrative Officer and manages the daily operations of the University under the Vice-Chancellor, following the policy directions of the Council.
- Additionally, the Registrar acts as Secretary to both the Council and the Academic Board.
- He/She offers strategic guidance and updates to the Vice-Chancellor and is anticipated to deliver leadership and management over a diverse array of activities within the University.
Required Qualifications & Experience
The candidate is required to:
- Possess at least a Master’s degree, ideally in a field related to Administration and Management.
- Have acted as a Deputy Registrar at a University or an equivalent level in a similar institution or organization for no less than six (6) years.
- Have proficiency in computer use
- Possess a keen intellect along with outstanding managerial, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Hold a strong appreciation for the academic atmosphere at Ho Technical University.
- Maintain principled behavior with a robust and established sense of public ethics and integrity.
- Possess knowledge of the higher education landscape, especially local policies and practices concerning tertiary education.
- Possess significant experience in engaging with a diverse range of internal and external communities of the University.
- Demonstrated emotional stability
- The qualified candidate must complete a four (4) year term of office prior to reaching age sixty (60).
