  • Job Title: Sales Representative (Packaged Gas)
  • Position Title: Multi-Industry Sales Representative – Packaged Gas
  • Reports to: Sales Director, PG&O Ghana

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Proactively expand the customer base for packaged gases, welding tools, and associated services by seeking new clients, reengaging inactive customers, fostering loyalty, and boosting market share within the current clientele.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Strategic Growth

  • Proactively seek out new clients across various sectors (industrial, healthcare, construction, agriculture, etc.).
  • Reengage high-potential inactive clients.
  • Recognize and nurture opportunities with current clients to boost volumes (cylinders/day) and enhance cross-selling.

Contract negotiation & Business Framework Development

  • Suggest, discuss, and obtain signatures for Packaged Gas contracts (1 to 3 years).
  • Clearly outline commercial terms, logistics choices (delivery, pickup), costs, and obligations.
  • Guarantee the implementation of business policies (pricing, deals, agreements, etc.).

Monitoring & Planning Performance

  • Fulfill daily pick-up and drop-off timelines for customers.
  • Attain the specified goals regarding:
  • Quantity of bottles sold (CWD)
  • Count of agreements finalized
  • Total count of real sales appointments and customers gained

Utilization of instruments and documentation

  • Utilize the available tools efficiently: phone, computer, service vehicle.
  • Comprehensive customer information, tracking visits and deliveries in the required formats.
  • Engage in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings (either by phone or face-to-face) (sales, collections, action plan).

NECESSARY ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Abilities in prospecting and enthusiasm for fieldwork
  • Methodical, disciplined, and outcome-focused strategy
  • Capacity to handle various client categories and adjust to diverse sector settings.
  • Robust communication abilities and a sharp aptitude for educating to clarify services.
  • Competence in essential office software and consistent reporting

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):

  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Inactivity client re-engagement rate
  • Count of agreements executed
  • CWD (containers/day)
  • Compliance with timelines and documentation
  • Involvement in customer collections (DSO)
  • Prepared to embrace the challenge and create an impact in the industry?
