GOVERNMENT BEGINS TALKS ON VISA-FREE TRAVELS TO CANADA AND ITALY

TIME FRAME FOR NEGOTIATION
There hasn’t been any designated time allocated to hold talks on this negotiation between these governments. However, the proposal has been officially received by both the Canadian and Italian governments. This means talks on this could commence anytime soon.
NEW REFORMS IF THE NEGOTIATIONS ARE SUCCESSFUL
If negotiation between these governments is successful, the new reforms with traveling to Canada and Italy are described below. To travel to any of these countries;
- One must possess a valid Guyanaian passport
- Visit the Canadian or Italian visa office for an approval letter or stamp permitting travel
- Book your flight for the travel
- On arrival in the country, one is expected to visit the office of the Guyanaian Ambassador in the country to fill out an entry form
- On filling out the entry form, Guyana citizen is free to enjoy their stay in Canada or Italy. Guyanese will have a time frame after which they can apply for residency or citizenship under this agreement.
