Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has stated once again that Ghanaian musicians lead a fake life and show off to spite the public but they are not actually rich as people see them.
In an interview with Sammy Baah Flex on Zylofon FM yesterday,
The Award winning Dancehall musician said that most celebrities in Ghana are not rich but it is rather the way they live that raises eyebrows about the wealth they have and are making.
Shatta Wale said he received a backlash and rants the last time he said Ghana musicians are poor on UTV.
He said he had to Apologize and explain himself to the likes of Grandpapa Reggie Rockstone.
According to him, it is the way celebrities live that give some sense of hope to many people who think and believe they are making it big.
Speaking in reference to the recent ban on celebrities to advertise for alcoholic brands and the attendant issue, Shatta Wale said the artistes should have come together to stage a protest against the move since it affects them directly.
He referred that Ghanaian musicians have led a fake life and this has gotten into the head and minds of the authorities who think they are a making enough money thus banning them from campaigning for alcoholic brands will not affect their finances in any way.
Shatta Wale further stated that should he volunteer to lead the protest against the Food and Drug Authority (FDA), he said that none of the artistes would join him if he should take up the initiative.
