Germany Is The Ideal Destination for Multiple-Entry Schengen Visas

Tourists can get multiple-entry Schengen visas best in Germany. It issued the most visas in 2022. A stunning 90.6% of Schengen visas issued by German consulates and visa centers worldwide were multiple-entry visas. Visa holders might enter the region many times.

Germany issued the most multiple-entry Schengen visas in 2022, making it the most popular destination.

New Schengen visa data shows that 90.6% of German consulates and visa centers worldwide issued multiple-entry visas.

How Germany Ruled in Numbers

Germany gave out 817,307 visas out of a total of 1,043,297 visa requests. 740,356 of these visas were for multiple entries, which is a huge amount.

Even though a few other countries are close to this rate, such as Slovenia with an issuance rate of 81.6% and Estonia with an issuance rate of 81.3%, France and Spain, which received more visa applications than Germany, are a long way behind when it comes to issuing multiple-entry visas.

France and Spain’s Disproportionate Visa Issuance Rates

Even though almost 2 million people applied for Schengen visas to France in 2022, which was again the most popular country, only 40% of the visas it gave out were good for more than one trip.

In the same way, Spain, which was the second Schengen country with the most short-term visa requests this year, only gave out 39.3% of them with the option to enter and leave multiple times.

Other countries that give out a lot of multiple-entry visas

Aside from Germany, Slovakia, and Estonia, here are some other countries that give out a lot of MEVs:

  • 74.9 percent of the 125,275 visas for Austria were approved.
  • Italy: 73.8% of 629,223 votes.
  • Finland: 72,3% of 142,302 votes.

On the other hand, Iceland (5.8%), Norway (33.6%), and Sweden (33.6%) had the lowest numbers of multiple-entry visas being given out.

Germany Demonstrates Low Rejection Rates, Below EU Average

Moreover, Germany turned down only 16.2% of the visa applications it got in 2022, while the average rate of rejection for all Schengen member states was 17.9%.

This shows that the chances of getting a Schengen visa turned down in Germany are much lower than in most other Schengen countries.

In 2022, Malta, Sweden, Belgium, and France had the highest rates of decline among the Schengen member states. Travelers who tried to get visas at these countries’ consulates or visa centers were more likely to be turned down.

On the other hand, among the Schengen states, Iceland, Lithuania, Finland, and Latvia had the lowest rates of people being turned away.

Bottomline

Germany offers the best Schengen visa for frequent travel. Visa issuance will be high in 2022. Also, Germany has a low visa denial rate compared to other Schengen nations, making it even more enticing.

Germany is a good Schengen country for hassle-free travel, so travelers should consider these points.
