Cummins Ghana is seeking a skilled and motivated Engine Field Service Technician to strengthen our service team in New Abrem. Role Overview

As an Engine Field Service Technician, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Cummins power generation equipment directly at customer sites. Your expertise will ensure operational reliability and build lasting trust with clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Execute on-site diagnostics and repairs for engine and genset systems
Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules
Utilize electronic service tools and software for accurate troubleshooting
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers
Complete detailed service reports and documentation
Identify potential service opportunities and escalate complex issues
Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental guidelines
Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Vocational diploma in automotive, electrical, or mechanical engineering
Valid Ghanaian driver’s license
Basic field service experience with engine systems
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, especially on gensets and Power Command controls
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software interfaces
Willingness to respond to emergency call-outs, including after hours

Preferred:

Formal apprenticeship training as an engine technician
Intermediate knowledge of Cummins engine products
Prior customer service experience in technical settings
