Role Overview

As an Account Officer, you will maintain precise financial records while managing accounts payable and receivable functions. You will process transactions, reconcile accounts, and support financial reporting activities. Key Responsibilities

Financial Recording & Transaction Processing

Record all financial transactions including payments, expenses, and revenue
Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable activities
Issue client invoices and follow up on overdue payments systematically
Handle petty cash transactions with proper documentation

Account Reconciliation & Reporting

Perform regular bank reconciliations and account verification
Ensure company ledgers align with financial statements
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support management with accurate financial information and analysis

Compliance & Payment Processing

Provide support during internal and external audit processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Process outgoing payments for services and operational expenses
Maintain organized financial records for compliance purposes

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or financial roles
Age between 23–28 years with residence in Accra
Advanced mathematical and analytical capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in microcredit or financial services environment
Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems
Background in accounts payable/receivable management
Understanding of Ghanaian financial regulations
