COMSTECH-Research Fellowships for Least Developed Countries 2026

Applications are open for COMSTECH’s Research Fellowships program. This supports young researchers from least developed OIC countries. Fellows spend six to twelve months at partner institutions. These centers of excellence span various OIC member states. The program strengthens research capacity for early-career scientists. It also builds lasting international research collaborations and linkages.

Financial Benefits

• Subsistence support during the fellowship period
• Supervision and mentorship from local trainers

Who Can Apply

• Must hold an M.S., PhD, or equivalent degree
• Must be a citizen of a least developed OIC country
• Or employed at a research institution in an OIC country
• Maximum age 35 for graduate-level research
• Maximum age 45 for post-graduate-level research
• Women scientists and early-career researchers are prioritized
• Fields include natural sciences, applied sciences, and engineering

Required Documents

• Scanned copy of a valid passport
• CV, maximum five pages, including publications
• Supporting statement from your home institution’s head
• Two reference letters from senior scientists
• M.S. or PhD degree certificates and transcripts
