Canada’s PNP Invite Around 2,000 Skilled Workers Through Latest Draws

In the most recent Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, and Manitoba welcomed people to apply for permanent residency.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a key way to come to Canada for work. It is run by both the federal government and the provinces. The program looks for skilled workers who could help the economy and fill gaps in the labor market.

British Columbia draws

At the beginning of May, British Columbia held four different draws to invite more than 171 people. Three of these draws were meant for specific people, and one was for everyone.

Candidates from the Skilled Worker Stream and the International Graduate Stream were invited, as well as Express Entry candidates who had scores of at least 104 (for skilled workers) or 107 (for international grads). Candidates from the Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled streams who scored at least 85 may have also been called.

Targeted draws, on the other hand, had a minimum score of 60 and included jobs like early childhood trainers and assistants and jobs in healthcare.

Saskatchewan Draws

On May 3, Saskatchewan invited 1,032 people in two different draws. Most of these people were invited through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Express Entry stream. In both streams, candidates had to get at least 68 points and pass an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

New Brunswick Draws

In April, 86 people applied to the NB PNP through the Express Entry stream. In this draw, there were people from the NB Employment Connection, the NB Student Connection, and the NB Occupations in Demand Connection.

If the province agrees to nominate a person, the person has 30 days to accept the nomination through their Federal Express Entry account.

Manitoba Gets

Under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), the state of Manitoba sent out 539 Letters of Advice to Apply in three different ways. There was the Skilled Worker Stream, the International Education Stream, and the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream. The required scores for these ranged from 606 to 699.

Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan

The PNP is part of Canada’s larger Immigration Levels Plan, which aims to bring in 117,500 new permanent residents through the program each year by the end of 2025.

This goal is split between the 11 provinces and territories that have PNP programs. Each province has a set number of candidates available.
