POSITION: Team Lead-Community, Environment, and Capacity Building
Job Summary
We appreciate your interest in heading one of the key task teams at Blue Economy Connect. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic young professional to act as Team Lead for our “Community, Environment, and Capacity Building” team. You would gain the chance to guide a team that promotes environmental initiatives, supports youth empowerment, and fosters sustainable community involvement within the blue economy. This position offers a significant chance to join BEC’s core team and gain recognition as a youth leader in the blue economy of Ghana and Africa.
You would also acquire practical team leadership and project management experience, while having the opportunity to access networking and professional growth opportunities.
Core Mandate: Supervise the development and execution of all environmental and community impact initiatives, sustainability projects, and capacity-building programs at BEC.
Duties
- Develop and conduct training sessions, workshops, and mentorship initiatives/events.
- Carry out field outreach and environmental impact initiatives led by youth.
- Engage youth volunteers and create dynamic community and campus hubs.
- Work alongside CSOs and communities on conservation projects.
Qualifications
- A dedication to ecological sustainability, community involvement, and empowering youth development.
- Background in designing and executing environmental and community initiatives.
- Robust teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities.
- Robust organizational abilities
- An aspiration to contribute to the development of Ghana’s and Africa’s sustainable blue economy and future.
- Experience/interests in blue economy and/or environmental sustainability topics/projects.
