Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) is a well-established, African-based, research centre and one of three field research centres of the Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service an agency of the Ministry of Health.
The work of KHRC has implications for health policy and practice throughout Ghana, Africa and the rest of the world. KHRC is situated in the middle part of Ghana and offers research and training services nationally and internationally and its staffs are multidisciplinary.
Job Description
Role
To develop rapid application programming solutions for time-bound health research studies
To perform validation and inconsistency checks across large and multiple electronic databases
Required Skills or Experience
- BSc or MSc in an IT related discipline
Mandatory Knowledge & Practical experience
- SQL language (Preferably MSSQL)
- Knowledge in at least one desirable programming language
- Desirable programming languages:
- C-sharp programming
- Java programming
- Android programming
- REDCap and Open Data Kit (ODK) will be an advantage
Other qualities
- Willingness to work in rural/remote settings
- Teamwork capabilities
