POSITION: Group Operations Manager
Job Description
Our client is a rapidly expanding Business Group with varied interests in the hospitality sector, encompassing a collection of restaurants and guest service venues. Renowned for its innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, the group is looking for an energetic Group Operations Manager to direct and enhance its operations throughout all divisions.
Job Purpose
The Group Operations Manager will supervise daily business functions, enhance operational processes, handle budgets, and direct cross-department teams. This position demands a strategic mind with extensive expertise in hospitality operations and financial management, able to propel growth, enhance service delivery, and guarantee the company achieves its operational and financial objectives.
Main Duties
Management of Operations
- Guide, supervise, and direct daily functions throughout all hospitality divisions (dining establishments, lounges, service venues).
- Establish uniform protocols and optimal approaches to enhance operational effectiveness and client contentment.
- Oversee service quality, uphold brand standards, and guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations.
Monetary Supervision
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout all departments.
- Oversee and manage operational expenses to enhance profitability.
- Perform frequent evaluations of financial performance and offer insights for enhancing business operations.
Strategic Guidance
- Work alongside executive leadership to create and implement business strategies that are in line with organizational objectives.
- Spot new business prospects and operational threats, and suggest solutions based on data analysis.
- Assist with expansion initiatives, such as establishing new locations or renovations.
Human Resource Management
- Oversee and guide unit managers and department leaders to guarantee responsibility and optimal performance.
- Manage staffing requirements, training, and performance assessments.
- Cultivate a culture focused on performance and customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Communication
- Create and deliver reports on operational performance to upper management.
- Serve as a bridge between the headquarters and operational divisions to guarantee coherence and clarity.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Finance, or a similar discipline. An MBA or a professional finance credential is advantageous.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in operations management, with a robust background in hospitality or restaurant businesses.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial processes (budgeting, analysis, expense management, reporting).
- Robust leadership and team management skills.
- Superb communication, issue-resolution, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to excel in a lively, rapid-paced setting.
