POSITION: Marketing & Communications Manager

VisionFund Ghana, a subsidiary of VisionFund International and World Vision, is a Christian microfinance institution dedicated to building healthy local economies. We are currently seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager for our office in Amasaman, Accra.

Role Purpose and Impact

This key management role is designed to drive the market positioning of VisionFund Ghana as a viable financial institution focused on both financial performance and social impact. You will be responsible for managing branding, product marketing, client engagement, and leading the marketing department to achieve strategic objectives. This position ensures our communications reflect our unique mission and values.

Major Responsibilities

You will lead the development and execution of our integrated marketing and communications strategy.

Manage, develop, and coordinate all marketing campaigns and departmental strategies.
Oversee the creation and publication of all marketing materials in alignment with approved marketing plans.
Plan and implement promotional campaigns while managing and improving lead generation initiatives.
Work closely with design and research agencies, providing support for new product launches.
Maintain effective internal communications to ensure company-wide alignment with marketing objectives.
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to increase brand awareness and recognition.
Build relationships with key media to secure consistent online and offline coverage.
Ensure message consistency across all communications and lead the institution’s internal communication efforts.
Collaborate with the Global Communications team to align in-country initiatives with international standards.
Provide strategic branding advice to management and actively participate in the institution’s spiritual activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. A Master’s degree or a Chartered Marketer qualification is a strong advantage.
Possess a minimum of three years of practical experience as a Marketing and Communications Manager, preferably within a financial or microfinance institution, with a proven track record.
Demonstrate strong analytical, project management, and excellent written and presentation skills.
Exhibit a confident, dynamic personality and must be a practicing Christian.
Have good public relations skills and the ability to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Possess knowledge of microfinance methodologies, products, and services.
Be dynamic, innovative, self-motivated, and a strong team player capable of working under pressure.
Be willing to travel across the branch network to provide leadership and support for local marketing initiatives.
