POSITION: Software Developer (Backend)

You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the robust platforms that power our advanced health tech services.

Job Overview

In this role, you will build and maintain scalable backend systems specifically for health tech applications. Your work will involve developing microservices, integrating diverse APIs, and incorporating AI functionalities to create cutting-edge health solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and data scientists, to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric backend architectures.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the core logic, performance, and reliability of our platforms.

Develop and maintain scalable, secure backend systems tailored for health tech applications.
Build and implement a microservices architecture to support a wide range of health tech services and features.
Design, develop, and integrate APIs with various third-party health tech providers and data sources.
Work on AI training models and seamlessly integrate AI functionalities to enhance our service offerings and user insights.
Collaborate with frontend developers and data scientists to deliver comprehensive, full-stack solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and proactively enhance existing systems to improve functionality, security, and performance.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and participate actively in peer code reviews.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
Have three or more years of professional experience in backend software development.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
Possess hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and microservices architecture.
Be proficient in RESTful and/or GraphQL API development and third-party integration.
Have practical knowledge of AI frameworks and experience with AI model training and deployment.
Be familiar with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Exhibit a strong understanding of data protection, security, and compliance, particularly within the healthcare sector.
Show excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

Previous experience in the health tech industry or a related field is a significant advantage.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello.
An understanding of big data processing techniques and healthcare data standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
