THE UK ACADEMIC CALENDAR
- Unlike in Ghana where tertiary institutions do admissions once a year, we can talk about at least 2 admissions within a year in the UK.
- September intake
- January intake
Note that those that had admissions for the September intake are already in the UK.
The implication is that the opportunity currently available is towards JANUARY INTAKE.
CLUE: If you want to really catch up, then you need to start with the processes 3 months before January. This means the process has already begun.
ACADEMIC AND TRAVELLING DOCUMENTS NEEDED
- Traveling Passport
- Academic Transcript
- Academic Certificates
- Personal Statement/Motivation
- 2 References (Preferably 1 Academic, 1 Professional)
- WASSCE Certificate (As Proof of English Proficiency)
- CV
Amount of money needed (quoted in pounds) and mode of payment
Note that the amount of money comes in two folds:
- A: £4,500
- AA: £7500
WHAT DOES THE MONEY ABOVE COVER, BE IT A APPLICANT OR AA APPLICANT?
- 3000 Part payment of your academic year fees ( you’ll pay the remaining fees on a monthly basis as you get to your school in the UK)
The remaining amount goes to Visa Application, School Application, other documentation, and Consultancy Fee
WHAT THE AMOUNT ABOVE DOES NOT COVER
- Rent (estimated at £500 monthly)
- Flight (Estimated at £600 pounds)
When to take your flight after payment.
Start the process by the first week of November, and make a deposit of £3000. Pay the remaining amount by ending of November. Take your flight by the 15th of December.
Working as a Student in the UK.
