Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Officer to become part of our team. The perfect applicant will handle financial documentation, guarantee prompt and precise data entries, and foster solid professional connections with clients. This position demands strong organizational abilities, precision, and effective interpersonal communication.
Main Duties
- Log everyday financial activities with QuickBooks and ensure precise documentation of expenses, payments, and receipts.
- Utilize MS Excel for reporting, reconciliations, and managing data with the Accountant.
- Track payments received from customers and pursue overdue amounts through calls, emails, or face-to-face meetings.
- Submit GRA taxes and maintain adherence to legal obligations.
- Keep accurate records of all invoices, receipts, and related documents.
- Record stock and refresh inventory each time new items are bought or distributed using QuickBooks.
- Support management in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and reconciliations.
Required Skills or Experience
- Skillful in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Keen attention to detail accompanied by outstanding record-keeping abilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting practices and tax submission procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; capability to engage with clients in a professional manner.
- Robust skills in organization and time management.
- Honesty, dependability, and the capability to function solo as well as collaboratively.
Desired Qualifications
- Required minimum qualification – Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping position will be beneficial.
