POSITION: Business Development Manager (BDM)
Company Overview
Temple is authorized and overseen by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Ghana to operate as a Fund Manager and Issuing House. We hold licenses from the National Pensions Regulatory Authority as a Pensions Fund Manager and from the Ghana Commodities Exchange as a Commodities Broker. We are entirely Ghanaian owned and have been operating since 2013, dedicated to providing innovative investment solutions and financial advisory services to a wide array of clients, including individuals and public and private institutions.
About the Position
Temple is in search of a strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) tasked with fostering the firm’s growth by discovering new business prospects, overseeing client relationships, and formulating strategies to enhance the firm’s market presence. This position demands an energetic and results-oriented person capable of establishing and maintaining connections with important stakeholders, negotiating agreements, and working together with different departments to meet business goals.
Main Duties
Development of Business Strategy:
- Create and execute business development plans to grow the company’s client portfolio and income sources.
- Carry out market analysis to discover new investment prospects and trends in Ghana, throughout the West African area, and worldwide.
- Examine rivals’ products, market strategies, and pinpoint opportunities for growth.
Client Recruitment & Relationship Oversight:
- Create leads, establish connections, and obtain new business by focusing on high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), corporate customers, and institutional investors.
- Nurture and strengthen connections with current clients, guaranteeing ongoing communication, outstanding service, and enduring collaborations.
- Offer clients customized investment options that align with their requirements and risk tolerance
Income Expansion:
- Achieve and surpass established goals for revenue growth and business development.
- Create proposals, pitch materials, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Finalize agreements and complete transactions promptly.
Promoting & Identity Creation:
- Work together with the marketing team to advertise the company’s brand and investment offerings to the intended audience.
- Engage in industry events, conferences, and networking occasions to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation in the market.
- Sustain an in-depth awareness of industry rules, trends, and competitive dynamics to strategically place the company.
Cooperation & Documentation:
- Collaborate closely with the upper management team and team leaders to create innovative investment products and strategies.
- Deliver consistent updates and reports regarding business development efforts, pipeline status, and general progress.
- Confirm consistency with the company’s broader strategic goals and uphold compliance with regulatory requirements.
Intelligence & Market Analysis:
- Observe market trends and pinpoint possible investment areas (e.g., real estate, energy, agriculture, financial services).
- Deliver strategic analysis concerning economic, financial, and regulatory shifts in Ghana and the broader West African region.
Required Qualification & Experience:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a similar area. An MBA or professional certifications in investment management (CFA, CIMG) are advantageous.
- Should have finished the Ghana Securities Industry Course.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial or investment industry.
- Proven ability to secure high-net-worth clients, design investment agreements, and achieve revenue goals
Skills & Qualifications:
- Robust skills in negotiation, communication, and presentation.
- Capability to examine financial information, market patterns, and investment prospects.
- Capacity to establish connections with essential stakeholders across all tiers.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM applications.
- Driven, results-focused, and capable of working autonomously.
- Robust skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Meticulous and possessing a strong sense of professionalism and honesty.
- Flexible and capable of succeeding in a quick-moving, ever-changing setting.
