POSITION: Assistant Field Manager

Position Overview
- Location: Kumbumgu, Nanton, Karaga, Savelugu, East Gonja, Central Gonja
- Duration of Commitment: 9 months (extendable)
- Requested start date: October 2025

Position Summary
IPA aims to hire Assistant Field Manager(s) to oversee field operations on a new research initiative. Candidates who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply for the aforementioned position.
Job Description:
The Assistant Field Manager will collaborate closely with the Research Associate and will supervise the proper implementation of all field data collection tasks.
Duties:
- Assist in the hiring and training of the IPA and partner field staff.
- Oversee and track IPA field teams throughout field surveys.
- Oversee and track partner field agents throughout the intervention.
- Oversee budgets and monitor expenses in the field.
- Support in data alignment and administration.
- Create and refine tools alongside the Field Manager and Research Associate / Research Manager.
- Oversee and monitor survey and intervention tools utilized in the field.
- Effectively assess the performance of IPA and partner field personnel throughout recruitment, training, and data collection employing a field monitoring form.
- Follow all IPA survey protocols and make sure field teams do likewise.
- Notify the Field Manager, Research Associate, or Research Manager of any concerns and problems right away.
- Quickly reply to inquiries from the IPA Field Manager, Research Associate, Associate Research Manager, Research Manager, or other IPA personnel.
- Ensure positive relationships with IPA, its staff, partner organizations, and participants in projects.
- Carry out additional tasks related to work that may be delegated.

Necessary Skills or Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, social sciences, or a similar discipline.
- Experience in project management, particularly in overseeing, designing, and executing data collection while managing extensive teams of enumerators/surveyors, is desirable.
- Familiarity with RCT and other field research methods, along with survey techniques and data gathering processes, is extremely valuable.
- Proficiency in English, Dagbani, Gonja, Likpakpa, and additional prominent languages in the survey locations.
- Outstanding management, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Having experience in an international NGO is advantageous.
