POSITION: Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
This role is crafted to oversee and coordinate our Shea procurement, tolling, and logistics in West Africa under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager, contributing actively to the attainment of our business objectives as part of our growth strategy. The role will actively contribute to expanding our presence in the area while enhancing existing relationships with Shea suppliers and partners deeply linked to our sustainability initiative called “Where Life Grows.”
Position Requirements
- Engage in Shea procurement by evaluating Shea crop forecasts, negotiating purchase agreements, and monitoring contract execution.
- Oversee large-scale tolling operations for his region.
- Evaluate, strategize, and implement logistics operations in the area (storage, road and maritime transport)
- Execute, oversee, and enhance quality and food safety benchmarks as established with regional (tolling) collaborators.
- Tasked with ensuring precise and prompt inventory reporting.
- Collaborate with partners to execute BLC sustainability plan.
- Observe and document the changes in the Shea environment.
- Monitor and suggest enhancements for the supply chain.
- Lead his team with effective guidance and foster a culture of achievement and responsibility.
Employment Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, purchasing or food technology
- Familiarity with agro-commodities and/or food processing is essential.
- Willing to travel often within the area.
- Strong understanding of technical procedures and principles of quality and food safety.
- Recognizes the economic worth of the supply chain.
- Capable of working alone, yet possesses strong collaborative skills.
- Capability to engage with experts and upper management.
- An enthusiasm for Africa

- Advanced language abilities in both English and French (spoken and written)
