POSITION: Investment Banking Associate, EDC Ghana
The position will oversee the execution of business activities in project finance, mergers & acquisitions, debt capital markets, and structured finance within the designated hub, while also aiding in the management of Corporate Finance client relationships and associated files. Working Environment
- The individual will operate within the Anglophone/Francophone hub to carry out investment banking deals.
- The incumbent will often be asked to deliver dependable financial information and analysis.
Main Duties
- Create pitch books, proposals, term sheets, engagement letters, memoranda, teasers, and promotional materials.
- Support the Coverage bankers in promoting as needed.
- Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and modelling utilizing Excel or other necessary tools.
- Support in transaction execution and due diligence.
- Aid and facilitate transaction arrangements.
- Cultivate an understanding of particular industries gradually.
- Building connections with clients, including understanding their businesses, economic influences, market conditions, and sector needs, to guarantee that the advice provided is pertinent and commercially viable.
- Source, create market insights, and analyse market data/information utilizing valuation techniques.
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 4–6 years of experience in Investment Banking / Private Equity
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline
Skills, Capabilities & Attributes
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled in all Microsoft Office applications
- Mathematical abilities
