POSITION: Engineering Applications Lead

Your Duties

We are looking for a progressive, highly proficient, and experienced Engineering Applications Lead (Autodesk Vault Upgrades, Implementation, Integration, Solution Architect) to guide the development, integration, and support of engineering software applications and systems. This position is essential in making certain that engineering teams possess strong, effective, and scalable digital resources to promote innovation, product creation, and operational success.

List of Main Duties

  • Project Leadership: Oversee cross-departmental, large-scale initiatives related to system enhancements, migrations, and the adoption of new tools. Conduct conversations to grasp user needs and convert them into technical specifications. Establish project strategies and achieve anticipated outcomes.
  • Integration & Customization: Utilize user feedback and requirements to create, enhance, and maintain tailor-made solutions for engineering tools and connections with organizational systems (e.g., ERP, MES, PDM).
  • Process Enhancement: Work alongside engineering and internal IT teams to simplify workflows, automate procedures, and enhance system efficiency. Implement successful change management to promote acceptance.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Communicate with software vendors regarding licensing, addressing intricate issues, and planning future development.
  • User Assistance & Instruction: Deliver high-level assistance, problem-solving, and training to engineering application users throughout various departments. Aid in guiding junior analysts to enhance team skills.
  • Data Governance: Maintain data accuracy, protection, and adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in setting up, implementing, and assisting Autodesk® applications and additional CAD software (Creo/Solidworks/MathCAD), with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership position.
  • Expertise in the engineering software (Autodesk™ collection of applications).
  • Proven experience in implementing, integrating, and tailoring Autodesk™ software through APIs.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting Autodesk™ Vault ® VAO and Data Standard.
  • Proven experience in overseeing IT software development, whether involving internal personnel or external service providers.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL), APIs, and tools for system integration.
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities and experience managing international virtual teams with multiple members.
  • Skill in self-education and recognizing enhancements, along with the capacity to manage various demands with urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm.
  • Self-motivated, meticulous, possessing exceptional initiative and robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
