POSITION: Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
Aligned with our growth strategy, this role is intended to coordinate and oversee our Shea sourcing, tolling, and logistics in West Africa, under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager, while actively contributing to our business objectives. The role will actively contribute to expanding our presence in the region while enhancing existing relationships with Shea suppliers and Shea partners who are closely linked to our sustainability initiative called “Where Life Grows
Job Description
- Engage in Shea procurement involving evaluation of Shea crop predictions, negotiation of purchase agreements, and monitoring of contract execution.
- Oversee industrial-scale tolling operations in his region.
- Evaluate, strategize, and implement logistics operations in the area (storage, transportation via land and maritime).
- Execute, oversee, and enhance quality and food safety standards as per agreements with local (tolling) collaborators.
- Tasked with ensuring precise and prompt inventory reporting.
- Collaborate with partners to execute the BLC sustainability plan.
- Observe and document the changes in the Shea environment.
- Monitor and suggest enhancements for the supply chain.
- Guide his team with effective leadership and foster a culture of performance and responsibility within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, purchasing, or food science
- Familiarity with agro-commodities and/or food processing is essential.
- Willing to travel often throughout the area.
- Strong understanding of technical procedures and principles of quality and food safety.
- Comprehends the economic significance of the supply chain.
- Capable of working solo while also possessing excellent collaborative skills.
- Skill in conversing with experts and top management.

- Vibrant and eager
- Skilled in English and French language abilities (both spoken and written)
