POSITION: Reliability & Maintenance Lead – Anglophone, West Africa
Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Maintenance / Contract Manager to oversee maintenance operations for both surface and underground mining equipment. This role is essential for ensuring equipment availability, reliability, and performance through strategic planning, condition monitoring, and the use of industry best practices.
This position provides significant career advancement opportunities within our Parts and Service Department, with clear paths to roles such as Service Operations Manager, Technical Manager, and Business Development Manager.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide customer-focused technical support to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Plan and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules strategically to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
- Analyze equipment performance data, identify areas for improvement, and perform root cause analysis on failures.
- Enhance Epiroc machine performance by implementing value-added services across all underground machines on-site.
- Promote business development through Rigscan assessments and discover new service opportunities.
- Lead safety initiatives, share service updates, and implement upgrades for underground products.
- Suggest parts to optimize fleet coverage and maintain operational continuity.
- Handle warranty claims and safety campaigns with accuracy and care.
- Offer 24/7 product support for both surface and underground equipment.
- Work with the Product Company on technical enhancements and TSNBs.
- Collaborate with the Training Lead to create effective training programs for both internal and external customers.
- Assist the Sales Team in underground business tendering and proposals.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or a trade qualification with strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management in mining or heavy industry settings.
- Extensive hands-on experience with both underground and surface mining equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, electronics, and RCS.
- Demonstrated experience working with mining contractors and overseeing site-based maintenance teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of heavy mining equipment such as drills, loaders, trucks, and crushers.
- A solid background in preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring and failure analysis.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret technical data and schematics.
- Expertise in reliability engineering concepts like FMEA, reliability block diagrams, and predictive modeling.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.
- Effective leadership and team management skills, emphasizing safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in strategic planning and project management.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
