Job Description
Central Baptist Church is looking to hire a qualified Christian candidate for the role of Finance Officer. The chosen candidate will help provide management with prompt and accurate financial reports to aid in decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Records all financial information into accounting software and posts transactions to the ledgers.
- Generation of payment vouchers from authorized memos and invoices
- Produces the cash book for the system
- Generates schedules for mandatory deductions (SSNIT, GRA, etc.) and ensures payments are made promptly.
- Creation of reconciliation reports for the church’s bank accounts
- Tracks costs and expenditures according to the budget and provides reports for guidance.
- Keeping records of fixed assets
- Carry out additional administrative tasks that may be assigned occasionally.
Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (With 1 year of experience after qualification)
- HND in Accounting (Accompanied by 2 years of experience)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks software will be a beneficial asset.
Skills
- Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Excel
- Should be someone who displays a strong sense of integrity.
