Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality clinical anaesthesia services across multiple specialities, including trauma, paediatrics, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery
Participate in clinical leadership and support activities to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance
Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and trainees
Engage in research, audit, and quality assurance activities within the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine
Collaborate in multi-centre research trials and academic partnerships with the University of Tasmania and Menzies Research Centre
Support perioperative care services in line with hospital policies and best-practice standards

Requirements

Specialist medical registration or a recognised overseas specialist qualification
Recent experience in anaesthesia, particularly in obstetrics, neurosurgery, or paediatrics (within the last 2 years)
Recent clinical exposure at a tertiary hospital standard
Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent (preferred for general anaesthesia roles)
Experience in cardiac anaesthesia, including trans-oesophageal echocardiography (desirable)
Recent neonatal anaesthesia experience (desirable for paediatric-focused roles)
Eligibility for Australian employer-sponsored visas (subclass 186 or 482)
